DAY OF JUDGMENT. Part 3.

In the Gospels, Christ Jesus is the Divine Agent who announces the advent of God's Rule. His 2nd coming will bring the consummation of God's Kingdom, including the Final Judgment of the wicked and the righteous.
The classic depiction of of this future Judgment is Matthew 24 and 25: "As Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him in private. 'Tell us when all this will be,' the disciples asked, 'and what will happen to show that it is the Time for Your Coming and the End of Age.' " (24: 3)
Jesus answered, "Watch out, and do not let anyone fool you. Many Men, claiming to speak for Me, will come and say, 'I am the Messiah!' and they will fool many people. You are going to hear the noise of battles close by, and the news of battles far away; but do not be troubled. Such things must happen, but they do not mean that the End has come. Countries will fight each other; kingdoms will attack one another. There will be famines and earthquakes everywhere. All these things are like the first pains of childbirth." (24: 4-8)
"Many False Prophets will appear and fool many people. Such will be the spread of evil that many people's love will grow cold. But whoever holds out to the end will be saved." (24: 11-12)
"You will see 'The Awful Horror' of which the Prophet Daniel spoke. The Awful Horror will be standing in the Holy Place. Then those who are 'in Judea' must run away to the Hills." (24:16)
"Someone who is on the roof of a House must not take the Time to go down and get any belongings from the House. Someone who is in the Field must not go back to get a cloak." (24: 17-18)
"How terrible it will be in those Days for women who are pregnant and for mothers with little babies!
Pray to God that you will not have to run away during the Winter or on a Sabbath! For the trouble at that Time will be far more terrible than any there has ever been, from the beginning of the World to this very Day. Nor will there ever be anything like it again." (24:19-21)
In the Gospel of John, Judgment is in the present Time. The moment coincide with the Act of Belief or Unbelief.
John 3 explain: Jesus said, "I Am Telling you the Truth; no one can 'see' the Kingdom of God without being born again."(3) "Born of water and the Spirit."(5) "The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit."(8) "As Moses lifted up the Bronze Snake on a pole in the desert, in the same way the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who Believes in Him may have eternal life."(14) "For God did not send his Son into the World to be its Judge, but to be its Savior."(17)
"This is how the Judgment works: the Light has come into the World, but people love Darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds are evil."(19) They hate the Light because their evil deeds are shown up with the Light." (20) "But those who do what is True come to the Light in order that the Light may show that what they did was in obedience to God.
The apostle Paul also expected an imminent Judgment, the "Day of the Lord." 1Thessalonians 5 says, "There is no need to write you about the Times and occasions when these Things will happen. For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come as a thief comes at Night. When people say, 'Everything is quiet and safe,' then suddenly destruction will hit them! It will come as suddenly as the pains that come upon a woman in labor, and people will not escape. But you are not in the Darkness, and the Day should not take you by surprise like a thief. All of you are people who belong to the Light, who belong to the Day. (1-5) God did not choose us to suffer His Anger, but to possess Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us in order that we might live together with Him.
(9-10) "We urge you to warn the idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back wrong for wrong, but at all times make it your aim to do good to one another and to all people. Be joyful always, pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus." (14-18) "Do not restrain the Holy Spirit; do not despise inspired Messages. Put all things to the Test: keep what is good and avoid every kind of evil. May the God Who gives us peace make you holy in every way and keep your whole being -spirit, soul, and body- free from every fault at the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (19-23).
