The ever-hungry RAVEN was a very important mythical hero of the WEST-COAST tribes, as he was said to have seeded the world with the plants and fish needed for survival.
The RAVEN is the first bird specifically named in the Bible.
GENESIS 8 : -The waters began to subside (the mind of the unseen world started to settle). -The ark rested on a mountain called AR-ARAT. -NOAH, being commanded, leaves the ark. -He built an altar
and offered a sacrifice, which GOD accepted and promised, not to curse the earth ever again.
1 : And GOD remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark.
And GOD made a WIND to PASS OVER the EARTH, and the WATERS subsided.
2 : The FOUNTAINS also of THE DEEP and the WINDOWS of HEAVEN were stopped, and the
RAIN from HEAVEN was restrained.
3 : And the WATERS gradually receded from the Earth, and by the END OF A HUNDRED and
FIFTY DAYS it had abated.
4 : And the ARK RESTED IN the SEVENTH MONTH, ON the SEVENTEENTH DAY of the
MONTH, UPON THE MOUNTAINS OF AR-ARAT.
5 : The WATER continued to ABATE UNTIL the TENTH MONTH, and ON THE FIRST DAY
OF THE TENTH MONTH the TOPS of the MOUNTAINS could be SEEN.
6 : And it came to pass AT THE END OF FORTY DAYS, that NOAH OPENED the WINDOW of
the ARK which he had made.
7 : And HE SET OUT A RAVEN; the RAVEN CONTINUED FLYING TO and FRO UNTIL the
WATER ON THE EARTH HAD DRIED UP.
The symbolism of this biblical passage shows us our past present and future life in the invisible world.
We were in the ark. The RAVEN is the symbolism of our mind going back and forth without being settled. Only those filled with the spirit of true that comes from GOD are able to progress in this journey.
