THE VALLEY OF HINNOM

Also known as "the Valley of the sons of Hinnom" and the "Valley" and the "Valley Gate" and the "low plain of the carcasses and of the fatty ashes."
In the BOOK of JOSHUA we can see the spiritual GATES that the people needed to pass in order to cross JORDAN which means a GREAT WAR between the powers of the Spirit against the powers of the flesh.
The Gates that belong to the Sun and the Moon were controlled by GOD's power in order to establish the spiritual order of things. The great power of JERICHO was broken and GOD's people was placed in the land and the CITIES chosen by GOD were given to the LEVITES.
Some evil forces among the JEBUSITES,  the inhabitants of JERUSALEM were not conquered. The children of JUDAH could not drive THEM out, but THEY dwell with the children of JUDAH at JERUSALEM unto THIS DAY.
The spiritual boundaries with its respective Gates are being established. In the BOOK OF JOSHUA we can picture the WAY of the SPIRITUAL REALMS that we can face consciously or unconsciously in our everyday life. Each place has a specific role in the school of the life and our spiritual powers are tested all the way of the earth time of our souls.
Joshua 15 : 1 The TRIBE of the children of JUDAH by their families were extended down to the TERRITORY of EDOM, to the DESERT of ZIN in the extreme SOUTH.
15 : 5 ...Their border IN THE NORTH QUARTER was from the bay of the SEA at the MOUTH OF JORDAN (uttermost part): 15 : 6  the border went UP to BETH-HOGLA, passed along BY the NORTH of BETH-AR AB AH; and the border went UP to the STONE of BOHAN the son of Reuben : 15 : 7  and the border went UP toward DEBIR from the VALLEY of ACHOR, and so NORTHWARD, looking toward GILGAL, that is BEFORE the going UP to AD UMMIM, which is ON the SOUTH side of THE RIVER : and the border passed TOWARD THE WATERS OF EN-SHEM ESH, and THE GOINGS OUT (gates) thereof WERE AT EN-ROGEL : 15 :8  and the border went UP BY THE VALLEY OF THE SON OF HIN NOM unto the SOUTH SIDE of the JEBUSITE; the same is JERUSALEM .
